Master Michael Delfino began his martial arts journey in 1993 and has led USSD Livermore since 2004. Known for his mix of intensity and humor, he inspires students through discipline, heart, and the belief that “hard work beats talent when talent won’t work hard.” Outside the dojo, he's a passionate bodybuilder and animal rescue advocate alongside his wife.
Sensei Hannah has been training at the Livermore dojo since 2007, and has now been teaching for more than a decade. An exemplary part of our dojo family, Sensei Hannah actually met her spouse while training. Outside the dojo, Sensei Hannah is an accomplished artist. Among her works is the mural painted in the dojo.
Sensei Roger began his martial arts journey in 2007 and has become a proud example of USSD Livermore’s multi-generational legacy. Both of his children have earned black belts, and his grandchild has just begun their training. Roger brings the same commitment to the dojo that he brings to his faith as an active member of his church.
Sensei Moss is a black belt instructor whose sights are set on running their own USSD dojo. A standout competitor, Moss has earned multiple first-place finishes in sparring and is known for their grit, discipline, and strong presence in the dojo. Moss leads with purpose and inspires our students to set high goals—and chase them with everything they’ve got.
Sensei Leo is known for his patience, positivity, and exceptional work with special needs students. A 1st degree black belt and talented athlete, Leo also excels on the lacrosse field. He credits much of his success to the focus and discipline he’s developed through martial arts. His calm leadership and ability to connect with students make him a valued role model in our community.
Sensei Levi is a dedicated junior instructor at USSD Livermore. Best known for his energy, leadership, and the way he lights up the Tiny Tigers class. A 1st degree black belt and proud member of the Boy Scouts of America, Levi is currently working toward earning the rank of Eagle Scout. Whether he’s leading a class or a scout project, his commitment to service and mentorship shines through in everything he does.
Known for her intelligence, discipline, and drive, Sensei Maggie sets a powerful example of what it means to lead with both mind and body. Outside of the dojo, Sensei Maggie leads her school’s robotics program, where she has helped secure multiple grants to expand student opportunities. Maggie is proof that excellence in martial arts translates to real-world impact
Sensei Jackson brings a rare mix of calm patience and high-energy instruction to every class. With 8 years of training behind him, he’s become especially skilled in practical self-defense. Sensei Jackson thrives in creating a positive, focused learning space, especially for newer students, and is committed to helping others build confidence through the martial arts.
